T.J. Finley’s

Being a staple in the Bay Shore community, TJ Finley’s is the ultimate hang-out spot! Being one of the first craft beer pubs on Long Island, TJ Finley’s name quickly became known! Their annual events, incredible pub grub, and wide selection of craft cocktails and beers bring the crowd in, but their good vibes are what makes them stay! For TJ Finley’s logomark, we focused on revamping their already established logo. By merging a textured, condensed sans-serif typeface with a clean, minimal slab-serif, we’ve created the beginnings of a logomark that feels like modern gastropub with old-school roots. We further develop their logomark by converting the vintage illustration of whiskey barrels to a silhouette of a whiskey sipping glass and we’ve encapsulated all elements together with a hexagonal shape. For TJ Finley’s color palette, saturated wood browns, rust, brass and white were inspired by the old-world style of the interior décor. For web and graphic elements, we used water-stained tabletops and vintage photography to add grittiness and age to their brand identity, reinforcing the old-world feel of the establishment. For photography, we focused on people- with customers enjoying their time at TJ Finley’s, drinks in hand and for food, short depth of field and dynamic lighting create a fun yet intimate vibe. Using graphic design, logo design, web, photography, videography, and social media, our team has made their impeccable vibes come to life for all to see!
